I always wish to have an easy way to insert photo to my post as well as hosting my photo in an online storage (so called cloud huh?). I tried flickr, picasa and windows live skydrive, but none of them make me happy. Either I have no control over them or encountered compatibility problem between them and wordpress.
So I decided to host the photos myself, with a popular photo CMS called zenphoto. The installation is pretty easy via the step-by-step wizard tool.
Now, the hosting side is done, I need a way to insert these photos to my post. Of cause I can edit the HTML tag to get things done, but being a lazy person and a tech geek, I’m rather go for a web 2.0 method. So I dig down to the wordpress plugins repository and looking for plugin that brings zenphoto and wordpress working for me.
After testing out few plugin, I’m happy with this 4 stars rated plugin, Zenphoto Press wordpress plugin. It just working fine out of the box by only providing my zenphoto URL (http://gallery.wooipin.com), no advanced tuning required. It featured a GUI in wordpress post editor, to allow the author to browse, select and insert photo from zenphoto gallery easily.
